How Often Should You Professionally Detail Your Vehicle?

This is one of the most common questions we hear, and the honest answer is: it depends on how you use your vehicle, where you park it, and how much you care about slowing down wear and tear. That said, there are some reasonable starting points.

A general starting point

For most daily drivers, a full detail every 3 to 4 months keeps things from ever getting out of hand. That's frequent enough to catch small issues — a coffee spill, salt residue, embedded dirt — before they become permanent, but not so frequent that you're paying for work that doesn't need doing.

What speeds up the timeline

A few things push that schedule tighter: kids and car seats, pets who ride along, a job that has you in and out of the vehicle with muddy boots or work gear, or parking outside without cover. If more than one of those applies to you, a detail every 6 to 8 weeks — or a maintenance plan — usually makes more sense than waiting for things to build up.

What stretches it out

Garage-kept vehicles, minimal passengers, and careful eating/drinking habits in the car can stretch a detail out to twice a year and still look great. The vehicle itself will tell you — if it still looks and smells clean, there's no rush.
